Latar belakang

  • Dr Ng Kheng Hong graduated from the National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He was admitted as a member to the Royal College of Surgeon (Edinburgh) in 2002. In the following year, he attained his Master of Medicine in General Surgery. In 2004, he was posted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, as a specialist registrar in General Surgery.
  • In 2006, Dr Ng was awarded the SingHealth HMDP award for further training in advanced laparoscopic surgery under the Hunterian Professor of Surgery, Professor Michael Li.
  • Dr Ng has more than 15 years of experience to date. As a colorectal surgeon and general surgeon currently practising at Gleneagles Hospital Singapore, Dr Ng has a keen interest in laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgery. He is very passionate about the use of minimally invasive techniques in in various surgical procedures, including colorectal cancer, gallbladder stones, appendicitis, abdominal and groin hernia etc. Dr Ng is one of the pioneers in the use of single incision laparoscopic surgery in colorectal surgery in Singapore, and has been invited to give lectures on advanced laparoscopic technique both locally and internationally.
  • Other conditions he treats include abdominal pain, adhesions, anal abscesses, anal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, diverticulitis, fistula-in-ano, gastric pain and ulcers, perianal abscesses, piles (haemorrhoids), rectal bleeding and skin lumps.
